Health is more than being free from disease.\u00a0The Community Development team works alongside community members on initiatives that contribute to our community\u2019s well-being. Initiatives focused on food security, seniors&rsquo; isolation, and community beautification\u00a0are just a few of the many programs that promote community health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volunteerism is a strong indicator of the health of a community. Civically engaged communities are vibrant, and as such, KCHC believes in promoting volunteer opportunities. KCHC has over 100 registered volunteers working in a variety of positions from helping newcomers learn English to helping to pack Good Food Box orders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At KCHC we pay particular attention to the social, emotional, and financial needs of our clients, since they help support good health.
